Manchester United have been shocked after Real Madrid announced any suitors for Gareth Bale that they will need to spend a huge amount to buy the Welshman, according to claims.
Bale came off the bench to have a man-of-the-match game in the Champions League final on Saturday. As he scored one of the greatest goals ever scored in a European final with an outstanding bicycle kick.
Immediately after that, Bale aroused the interest of every major club in Europe when he reported he would find a move away if he is not a guaranteed starter.
And now the Daily Star claim that, while Real Madrid want to keep Bale, they will give a permission to him to leave if an offer of £200m is made – which would overpay the record £198m PSG paid for Neymar.
That could cost too much for Manchester United, even though Bale has made Old Trafford his favorite destination should he leave his current team.
United have another problem concerning Bale’s wages,as he earns one of the highest wages in Europe behind only Neymar, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
