Real Madrid are weighing up on a deal for Brazil super star Neymar Junior as their prime target but they will attempt to sign Eden Hazard from Chelsea if the move for Neymar fails, claims report.
Since the appointment of Zinedine Zidane as the manager of Los Blancos, they have been chasing Hazard, who has been tipped to replace the aging Cristiano Ronaldo. Although, Chelsea have reiterated their desire to keep Hazard, the father of the player revealed that the future of the star lies in Spain.
Suprisingly, Real Madrid have been experiencing poor form and it is due to the inconsistency of their attackers. Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema have been unable to deliver and the former has been linked with a move to Manchester United.
Hazard, will no doubt strengthen the attack of Madrid and make them more competitive but According to Spanish website El Confidencial, Hazard’s dream move to Real Madrid will only be completed on the one condition that they fail to sign Neymar.
BBC sport pundit Martin Keown has revealed that Chelsea will allow Hazard leave if Real Madrid make the right offers for him.
“Conte is the sort of manager as well, if he doesn’t want to stay, then he’ll get him out,” said Keown on Football Focus.
“Perhaps it’s healthy and Hazard needs to go to that other level, that next level, for Messi and Ronaldo.
“He shows flashes of it, something holds him back though, maybe it’s another move to another club.”
Hazard joined Chelsea in the summer of 2012 and he has been their best player since then.
